Spring's Bridge No 41, is an accommodation bridge with no public right of way, located on the Caldon Canal. The number 41 refers to it being the 41st bridge from the junction of the Trent and Mersey Canal.

The bridge is Grade II listed. The description given by British Listed Buildings is as follows;
'Accommodation bridge. Early C19. Coursed dressed and squared stone
with rounded copings; elliptical arch (including towpath); string
at carriageway level; parapets and carriageway cambered over span
and terminated by piers. This section of the Caldon Canal was opened
circa 1779, to take limestone from Caldon Low, Henshaw and John Rennie
engineers.' Source: (visit link)

The Caldon Branch of the Trent and Mersey Canal was built between Etruria and Froghall in 1776 at a cost of £23,560 and opened in 1779. It was built specifically to carry limestone from the quarries at Cauldon Low, near Froghall to Stoke on Trent.
In 1797 a secondary branch was built from Hazlehurst Locks to Leek. By 1811 a further extension from Froghall led to Uttoxeter, a further 13 miles, but only lasted until 1845. By 1849 a railway had been built, some of the track using the former canal bed. (visit link)
