We Remember - Depew, OK - Non-Specific Veteran Memorials on Waymarking.com

Depew is a small town on Route 66 in central Oklahoma. The population is only 483 and the downtown area is mostly boarded up or demolished. But standing proudly where a building once stood is this war memorial, where a town is honoring its veterans.

On a concrete patio area, is a granite marker which reads:

WE REMEMBER
Dedicated to those who
served our country
from a grateful
Depew community

(Seals of 5 branches of military)

DUTY - HONOR - COUNTRY

Flanking this marker are two tall granite monuments listing all of the town's veterans, with an asterisk alongside those who were killed in action. In front of these markers are two granite benches. Engraved on them is "ALL GAVE SOME / SOME GAVE ALL". On the ground at the front of the memorial are plaques listing all the local citizens who donated to the placement of this memorial.
