FR Cette sulpture animalière, se trouve au bout de la promenade Aubert Millot. Réalisée en granit bleu par René Pâris, cette composition d'un grand réalisme est arrivée à Manosque en 1922.
L'histoire locale rapporte qu'à l'origine une fontaine donnait de l'eau à cet endroit mais que les habitants avaient demandé son déplacement en raison du bruit occasionné par les grenouilles qui s'y étaient installée. Pour "occuper" cet emplacement laissé libre, la statue a été installée.

EN This animal sulpture is located at the end of the Aubert Millot promenade. Made in blue granite by René Pâris, this composition of a great realism arrived in Manosque in 1922.
Local history reports that originally a fountain gave water to this place but that the inhabitants had requested its displacement due to the noise caused by the frogs who had settled there. To "occupy" this site left free, the statue was installed.
