This is the official weather station for the Gloucester area,and is in the 'backyard' of the historic Post Office.

From the Weatherzone° website (visit link) this weather station has been collecting rainfall data since 1888! Wow! [It is at 105 metres above Mean Sea Level].

From the Bureau of Meteorology website (BOM) it is unclear if there is anything further than Rainfall and Barometric data received from this weather station, as the Wind/Direction, and Temperature readings seem to be those for Taree Airport (some 45 km away). The obvious rain/snow collector has a small solar panel, with 2 metre tall aerial - for transmitting data.
