The Drummer is an 8' tall bronze sculpture depicting a hare standing on its hind legs with its right foot forward and raised stepping the top of an incline. The hare is holding a drum vertically with his left hand and a drumstick in its right hand. The sculpture rests on a concrete platform on top of a 3' high rectangular field stone base.
The sculpture was created by Welsh artist Barry Flanagan and installed on the campus in June 2017. It was bequeathed to the college through the estate of Dorothy H. Park, who passed away on June 18, 2016.
