The weathervane is situated on a pole next to a summer house in the grounds of 'Teapot Hall'. The pink cottage is a Boaters Christian Fellowship tea house and is one of three renovated boaters cottages located opposite wooden swing bridge 90 on the Macclesfield Canal at Scholar Green.
The weathervane has a green and yellow barge with two figures one at the back and one at the front, mounted on a blue direction arrow. It is mounted on a white post with red N,S,W,E letters.
