In St. Johnsbury, off U.S. Route 2, is Dog Chapel, which includes the Stephen Huneck Gallery.
Dog Chapel is located east of the center of St. Johnsbury. From the center, go east on U.S. Route 2 to the sign on the left at Spaulding Road. Turn onto Spaulding Road and drive uphill to the entrance on the left, then drive to the parking lot.
The gallery is the first building is the closest one to the parking lot. The entrance is on the other side.
The building is a clapboard sided building painted yellow with white trim. The word, "Gallery" is displayed in an arc on the front of the building. Inside is a neat display of various art. There are prints, sculptures and other wares, usually with a dog theme, though cats are represented here and there, as well.
The property was purchased in 1985 by Stephen Huneck and established his studio out of a barn. The Dog Chapel was added in 2000.
The gallery also sells art online - see the site for details.
