Der Puppenkönig in der Bonner Innenstadt ist ein traditionsreicher Einzelhandel für Spielwaren und Modell-Eisenbahnen. Solange ich mich erinnern kann ziert die Ecke des Gebäudes schon dieses Neon-Kunstwerk: Eine zweidimensionale Darstellung einer Dampf-Lokomotive samt Kohle-Anhänger und Schienen.

Soweit ich weiß, funktionieren die Röhren schon lange nicht mehr - ich habe sie seit Jahren nicht mehr in Betrieb gesehen. Dennoch wird die Eisenbahn als Aushängeschild und zur Unterstreichung der Tradition des Geschäfts weiterhin gepflegt und ist in gutem Zustand.
"Puppenkönig" in the city center of Bonn is a traditional retail store for toys and model railways. As long as I remember, this neon artwork graces the corner of the building: A two-dimensional representation of a steam locomotive including a coal trailer and rails.

As far as I know, the tubes have not worked for a long time - I have not seen them in operation for years. Nevertheless, the railway is still used as the major store sign, underlines the tradition of the business and therefore is kept in good condition.
