About 1993 the outdoor swimming pool in Lochem was closed. Plans were made to built a new indoor pool. Some years later the plans became reality and "de Beemd" opened it's doors. There are three waterbasins: Competition, small children and recreative. A waterslide completed the swimmingpool.
There is a bar for drinks where you also can order small meals.
Some years later a gym completed "de Beemd".
Years later a school was built on the same site.
As having about 1.700 pupils they needed sportaccomodations. A hall was built for these activities.
