Our History
I. S. (Stewart) Wright opened his first shop in Ballarat after his hobby took over his parents’ home, and he is still a collector at heart celebrating over 40 years in the profession.
In that time Stewart has expanded with retail outlets in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, purchasing the businesses of Ray Tancred Militaria, Martin Daniels Sydney coin shop, and Grant Morton's coin store in Adelaide. Status International Auctions in Sydney was added in 1996.
A new building has recently been purchased in Glebe just a short distance from our current Castlereagh Street location. This building will become home to Status International, our Sydney Coin store and I S Wright Militaria in the near future.
