Ajo, Arizona, is a former copper mining town in the middle of the Sonoran Desert. It was established by John and Isabella Greenway who, inspired by the City Beautiful Movement, brought architects from Minnesota to design their company town. The town's center was originally anchored by a beautiful train depot.
