The interesting thing I noticed about this caboose static display is the fact that there is no current rail line through Etna or anywhere else in Scott Valley. I'm assuming there may have been at one time when logging was active in this area many years ago. So to see a caboose in an area of the countryside with no rail line within many miles was an unexpected treat.
I don't know any history behind this caboose.
