Music pavilion Sassnitz, Rügen
From 1985 to 1989, the music pavilion was designed and realized as a university project of the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee.
Significant author of the draft is Prof. Dietmar Kuntzsch, Ulrich Müther and Prof. Otto Patzelt play a major role in the implementation planning.

The pavilion represents a highly interesting further development of the traditional "Band shell" as part of the bathing architecture established on the Baltic coast. Kuntzsch developed a filigree architectural solitaire by outsourcing the necessary function rooms (artist dressing room, technical room) to independent ensembles.
For the realization of this constructively demanding design, the execution in shotcrete was designed in close cooperation with Ulrich Müther.
