This granite arch is on the west side of the Cline Cabin Road in the Four Peaks area of the Tonto National Forest outside of Fountain Hills, Arizona.

This area of the Tonto National Forest is in the upper Sonoran desert zone. Pillars of granite stand up from the desert floor and being harder than the sedimentary material around them they stand out as fingers of rock. The area has seen eons of volcanic activity pushing out igneous rock followed by submersion in ancient seas laying down sedimentary material.
