A childs bike painted white with a sign that reads "Treavon Jackson November 5, 2013" is chained to a traffic sign in front of a electric substation along Spring Cypress Road. It's unclear as to why a childs bike was used, as Treavon was 17 years old. It might be because he was riding a small bike which was recovered at the scene of the accident. (See link below)


SUV Hits, Kills Teen On Bicycle

SPRING - A 17-year-old boy was killed late Tuesday night after being hit by an SUV while he was riding his bike in Spring.

Investigators say the teenager was riding his bike on the 9700 block of Spring Cypress Road at Bonnie Sean Drive around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials said the boy was riding in the middle of the road when he was hit by an SUV.

Police said the driver of the SUV did not see the boy until it was too late. The driver could not stop in time and hit the boy.

According to police, the area where the accident happened is dimly lit, and investigators said the bike rider was wearing dark clothing.

The 17-year-old died at the scene.

Charges are not expected to be filed against the driver.

Treavon Jackson Killed on Spring Cypress Road in Bicycle-Car Accident in Spring, TX

Spring, TX — A bicyclist was hit and killed on Spring Cypress Road last night (Tuesday, November 5) after a fatal accident in Spring. Police identified the victim as 17-year old Treavon Jackson.

The accident happened at about 10:25 p.m. as Jackson was riding his bicycle west along Spring Cypress Road near Bonnie Sean Drive. Jackson was hit by an eastbound SUV after police believe he may have turned his bike in front of the oncoming vehicle.

The accident killed him at the scene and the SUV’s driver was not harmed. Police said that the SUV driver claimed they didn’t have enough time to stop. Further investigation was expected.
