En empruntant la rue des Roches, au bas d'une petite pente, se cache dans un angle, au pied d'un mur de soubassement, une fontaine. Ses eaux, chargées d'alun (sulfate double d'aluminium et de potassium) avaient la propriété de fixer les teintures.

By taking the Rue des Roches, at the bottom of a small slope, hides in a corner, at the foot of a basement wall, a fountain. Its waters, laden with alum (double sulphate of aluminum and potassium) had the property of fixing the dyes.
