The Alameda station is an interchange station on lines 3, 5, 7 and 9 of Metrovalencia. It was inaugurated on May 5, 1995, along with the rest of stations on line 3 between Rafelbunyol and this one. Until the inauguration of the extension of line 3 to Avinguda del Cid in 1998, Alameda was the terminal station of the line.

Designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava, it is located under the old course of the Turia river at the height of the Paseo de la Alameda in Valencia, under the bridge of the Exhibition popularly known as the Peineta bridge.
