Eclectic best describes this most interesting museum and visitor's center. Focusing on the history of Tiger, with an array of displays including the original Tiger School bell, antique household appliances, period furniture, glassware and crystal from the period. There are items from the old post office, old luggage and saddles. Outside there is an old blacksmith shop with an assortment of old tools and a forge.
As well as a museum, the Tiger Store serves as a visitor centre and rest area.
Tiger Store was built in 1912 and sold groceries, since then it is now a museum, a Visitor Information Center, Gift Shop and Rest Area. It is noteworthy to note that this is the very last of what remains of the original town of Tiger. Only the ghosts and tourists frequent this location. It is somewhat out of the way, however this is a must stop if you are in the area.
The old black and white postcard was taken in 1912 of the original Tiger Store. We purchased the postcard for 50¢. It is free to visit the museum.
