According to the Coal Duty Posts website this was originally locates where the nearby roundabout on the A21 is now sited: "Originally at: TQ4555463293 At Green Street Green approximately where the Farnborough Way roundabout is now. Presumably moved in 1927 when bypass constructed."

It has recently been painted. In the Google Streetview picture it is very dirty.
