The First World War Memorial for the parish and village of Fettercairn in the old county of Kincardineshire in eastern Scotland was unveiled by Sir John R Gladstone on January 8th 1922.

Built by Messrs Garden & Co, it takes the form of a roofed lychgate at the entrance of the cemetery several hundred yards to the west of the village on the north side of the B966 road.

Inside the gate on the left-hand side are rustic pink granite tablets in the shape of open books with black lead lettering. The main inscription reads as follows:

'TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND THE HONOURED MEMORY OF THE OFFICERS, NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS AND MEN OF FETTERCAIRN PARISH, WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918'

Thirty four names are listed alongside. On the right-hand side opposite are ten names from World War II.
