According to a sign at the Stonebridge entrance, Liberty Park/Garden was championed in 2001 as a Living Memorial to September 11. Honoring America's resilience, Affirming America's Principles of Freedom and Liberty. Keep Jackson Beautiful and City of Jackson Recreation and Parks Dept.
The paved walking trail around the perimeter of the park is 1/2 mile long. There is so much to see here: beautiful gazebo/arboretum/war memorial/children's garden, and Freedom Plaza. It encompasses 14.5 acres and is well maintained.
Park hours are 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
There are two entrances/parking lots to the park: one on the north side (Channing Way), and another on the west side (Stonebridge Blvd).
