This is an interesting little sign. It is tightly wrapped around a metal post that holds the street signs for Chase and King. It was sponsored by a private citizen.
Chase St.
This short street was the western boundary of the town lot owned by Enoch M. Chase (1793-1858). Chase is known to have lived here in 1816 and earned his living for a period making potash from ashes. He married Sophronia Butler in 1818.
