I didn't get to ask the proprietor of the Bed and Breakfast how waterproof the Mailbox actually is. The electric element and thermostat has been removed, but the outlet tap remains, so I suppose it could always revert to holding chilled liquids. The lid is secured to the urn by the same galvanised steel chain that is holding the urn to the thick wooden fence post.

In the background of the location photo is the "Dead Vehicle' that advertises the Berry Bed and Breakfast of this property.
