The Historic Hahndorf Inn Hotel, was first established as the "Australian Arms" in 1863 by Gottlieb Schuetze, to service the township of Halindorf, Australia's oldest German settlement. The single storey building was enlarged 3 years later, becoming the Union Hotel, to accommodate the town's growing population, and was used for town meetings, celebrations and gathering's.
In 1972 The Hahndorf Inn acquired it's present name, and has continued it's tradition of hospitality for the last 150 years. Following a proud heritage The Hahnedorf Inn retains much of the Germanic culture in its beer and European cuisine. The Hahndorf INN continues to be a family friendly Motel, servicingg the community and world travellers a like.
