As the sign for the Venus Fly Trap setting shows:

Dionaea muscipula

Venus Fly Trap

"Perhaps the best known of all carnivorous plants. Stimulated by a system of trigger hairs, the traps will close three times before they die."
Family DROSERACEAE

When I had visited the Botanic Gardens a year earlier I was too early in the morning, but they did have a display of Carnivorous Plants for sale, and because the Garden wasn't officially open I didn't find out at that time, that there was a section dedicated to Carnivorous Plants.

At the entrance to the Visitor's Centre there are Venus Fly Traps for sale, for $9 each - beaut!
