This map can be found on a sign in a lay-by on part of the long distance Fife Coastal Path. The path runs along the entire coastal peninsula of the Kingdom of Fife from Kincardine on the Firth of Forth to Newburgh on the Firth of Tay, and it is only five miles from Newburgh that this sign is situated on the furthest route inland that the path takes.
Pittachope (pronounced Pitchope) is a farm just to the east of the lay-by which sits on the south side of a narrow minor road overlooking the Firth of Tay a mile to the north.
The sign also gives information on Norman's Law, a volcanic hill half a mile to the south, information on coastal woodlands, on game shooting, and the Lindore Pictish Stone at Abdie Church.
