While Mildura's first Police Station opened in 1892, the current building was opened in July 2008, By The Honourable Bob Cameron. It is a 24 hour station. As the sign, with the Victorian Police Crest at the front for 62 Deakin Avenue announces, this is the Western Region Division Six Headquarters, for the Superintendent and Inspectors. Presumably from 64 - 68 Deakin Avenue is for the majority of the day-to-day Police work.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
