< DE >  Die Löwenapotheke in Steyr (Enge Gasse 1) ist ein aus dem 14. Jahrhundert stammendes Gebäude mit barocker Fassade.
Da das Gebäude eine Häuserzeile abschließt, sind drei Fassaden mit Fensterverdachungen und Stuckdekorationen sichtbar: zur Engen Gasse hin, nach Zwischenbrücken und zum Ennskai. Auf der Nordseite nach Zwischenbrücken besitzt das Gebäude einen Erker. Die barocke Stuckdekoration stammt aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, nachdem das Gebäude 1727 teilweise niederbrannte. Nochmals brannte das Haus 1824. Das schmiedeeiserne Steckschild zeigt einen vergoldeten aufsteigenden Löwen. Besondere Bedeutung erlangte das Haus durch den hier am 25. Dezember 1800 unterzeichneten Waffenstillstand zwischen Österreich und Frankreich, der am 9. Februar 1801 zum Frieden von Lunéville führte. Daran erinnert eine Gedenkinschrift in der Lünette unter dem Erker. Das Datum „7. Februar“ darauf ist falsch.

As the building ends a row of houses, three facades with window roofs and stucco decorations are visible: towards Enge Gasse, to Zwischenbrücken and Ennskai. On the north side after intermediate bridges, the building has a bay window. The baroque stucco decoration dates back to the 18th century, after the building burned down in 1727. The house burned again in 1824. The wrought-iron pin badge shows a gilded ascending lion. The house gained particular importance through the truce signed here between Austria and France on December 25, 1800, which led to the Peace of Luneville on February 9, 1801. This is recalled by a commemorative inscription in the lunette below the bay window. The date "7. February" is wrong.
