Located in downtown Cushing at the outdoor Downtown Cushing Centennial Park, is an 1870's-1890's Drover Coach. This is an all-wood railroad vehicle which was used to house drovers while transporting their cattle by rail.

The Drover Coach was placed directly behind the locomotive and contained bunks for the cowboys. It was placed here for a smoother ride, and also to keep them ahead of the odors! The men were encouraged to sleep foot-first in their bunks in case of an emergency stop. When cattle were no longer transported by rail, many of these coaches, which were later built of metal, were converted to working cabooses.

This coach was donated to the park by the Cimarron Railroad Museum in honor of Bob Read, Jr. who began the museum. It stands at the north side of the community park, with a wood platform alongside, which is used for community events.
