This sculpture by Joe Slack is located in the grassy area at On Cue convenience store. It is at the SW corner of I-35 frontage Rd. and 15th Street.
The triangular base is 10' long on each side. Three figures (head and necks) made of corten steel are the focus of this piece of art. They all face NE. Each piece has cut-outs that form eyes in the head, and one piece (the tallest) has both square and circular cut-outs in the neck area. On each of the three sides of the base is a small piece depicting a two-sided face. The figures alone stand about 12 feet high on top of the foundation.
The total cost of Direction was $40,900 with the Edmond Visual Arts Commission paying for half of that.
