With a short concrete causeway section, this allows traffic through from Emmaville, through to Inverell.

There is quite a large catchment area for this small looking section of the Severn River, so caution NEEDS to taken if you are in any doubt. There are metre-high, and more flood indicators, so check them out before proceding through. While almost all of Strathbogie Road is dirt/gravel, there is a concreted causeway at this point for a 'braided' section of the Severn River. Just a short distance towards Emmaville is another concreted section that has concrete pipes under it for the major part of the Severn River; but obviously made for the River to wash on straight over the top.
