This $2.16 billion facility is intended to improve bus service from the East Bay and, someday, serve as the terminus for trains arriving underground from Silicon Valley and points south.
The Center has four levels above ground. The top level is the beautiful
Salesforce Park. Bus Deck Level 3 services Greyhound, AC Transit, WestCAT Lynx, and Muni Treasure Island Line. Bus Plaza Level 1 serves local San Francisco Muni buses and Golden Gate Transit.
The bottom floor will eventually harbor Caltrain, which is expected to be done by 2028, and the ambitious California High-Speed Rail project, which will connect Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The third-floor bus deck has entry above the traffic via a suspension bridge with a design replicating the
East Span of the Bay Bridge.
