This white OK historical marker that is in the shape of the state of Oklahoma, is located on the east side of South First Street, between Cleveland and Oklahoma. It sits atop a small concrete foundation and faces the alley/parking lot of the nearby stores.

Text on marker:

FIRST CITY HALL

This stone marks the site of the first city hall and water works of Guthrie. The old well is a few feet east of this marker. The job in the alley is due to building the alley around the first City Hall and Jail.
