Talisker Road is a dirt road off Rarkang Road (which comes off Main Road) in the Talisker Conservation Area, on the Fleurieu Peninsula - near Cape Jervis.
You probably won't see the trig until you stop in a nearby layby as it is surrounded by spindly scrub and grass trees. It is a 'Tripod' - with three metal pipe (possibly 50 mm diameter, or less) bent at the top, to meet the other two, with a set of fully perforated vanes, of semi-circular 'PLUS' shape. These may have been painted at some time, but are now rather rusty.
Beneath the vanes is a cemented-in, domed metal Survey Marker: 6528-1286.

* While I didn't stop to find any geocaches, there are a few in the Talisker Conservation Area. *
