The words are at the foot of the Headstone for 416210 Flight Sergeant Ceceil Gordon Eckersley in the Churchyard of St. Andrew's Church in Andreas.
The full inscription on the headstone reads as follows:
"416210 FLIGHT SERGEANT
C. G. ECKERSLEY
ROYAL AUSTRAILIAN AIR FORECE
3OTH DECEMBER 1943 AGE 24
AND JESUS SAID -
"BECAUSE I LIVE,
YE SHALL LIVE ALSO"
Above the inscription the Royal Australian Air Force crest is displayed.
Flight Sergeant Eckersely was killed while based at the nearby RAF Andreas which was a training school during WWII.
