Kirk grew up in nearby Kingston and during the summers he still lives in the area. Today I was flagged down by a guy looking for directions. We were at the junction of the K&P and Cataraqui rail trails. He looked familiar and when I asked him if he's Kirk Muller he confirmed and said okay to a selfie. He then proceeded to cycle the opposite direction LOL.
Kirk also represented Canada in several international competitions including the World Junior Championships and Olympics in 1984 and the IIHF World Championships in 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1989.
