An old stone with a lion's head in the form of a green man in the north aisle wall of St Lawrence's church, Evesham.

The plaque just above tells us that this, and another stone on the opposite side if the church, was discovered in 1931 when old cottages near the churchyard were being demolished.

It is believed to be part of a monument erected to Abbot Thomas Newbold, Abbot of Evesham 1491 - 1513.
Approximate Age of Artefact: 1513
