Each province of Thailand has a branch of the national museum. For the far, north-eastern province of Ubon Ratchathani the museum is located in the city centre, near the city park and central shrine. The museum was closed on my visit, but it houses historical and pre-historical artifacts from the province and north-eastern region of Thailand. Unfortunately, I visited on a closed day. Next time.
