This metal tripod trig is just inside a fenced forestryproperty, and easily climbed through without damage. 'GCA' gives the Elevation as 327 metres. Beneath the vanes of the tripod is a circular bronze Survey Marker: 6526x1290.

Each of the elongated 'semi-circular' vanes are 'highly' perforated (with x 21 on each vane!), and may have been painted in the past, but are rather corroded now. They are 'double-braced', with two narrow L-shaped metal strips across each vane, with further L-shaped strips bracing to the adjoining vane. The vanes are fixed to a single galvanised pipe (possibly ~35 mm diameter), which is then held, and fixed to the converging three legs of the tripod.

Access: Turn off of Main South Road, onto Forest Road, and park on the side of the road. Not too hard to climb through the 'slack' fence.
