Built 1460, entirely rebuilt 1880 in Decorated style. Chancel, nave, south porch, west bellcote.
The church was closed in 1973 and officially declared redundant in 1979, and applied for planning permission for it to be turned into a house, to make selling it easier. In 1983 a trust formed by local people purchased the church from the Church of England and reopened it as a church! It now holds non-denominational services on a regular basis, at least as frequently as the 'official' parish churches in nearby villages. It is always open.
Upper Darmsden, where the church is, is an estate village - technically, the road up to the village from the Needham Market road is a private road.
