FR Le canal du Verdon est un canal d'irrigation en Provence, construit de 1866 à 1875, pour amener l'eau du Verdon à Aix-en-Provence. Il est progressivement abandonné dans les années 1970, au profit du canal de Provence.
Un chemin de randonnée longe aujourd'hui ce canal et permet, depuis la plage de Saint Julien de gagner la plage, face à Esparron de Verdon. Quelqu'un a dû avoir un jour l'idée de remonter le canal à sec en voiture mais celle-ci est maintenant immobilisée depuis des années. Des rochers ont dû se détacher et l'on un peu écrasée.
Je n'ai pas pu identifier le modèle de la voiture tant elle est détruite.
EN The Verdon Canal is an irrigation canal in Provence, built from 1866 to 1875, to bring the water from the Verdon to Aix-en-Provence. It was gradually abandoned in the 1970s in favour of the Canal de Provence.
A hiking trail now runs along this canal and allows you to reach the beach from the beach of Saint Julien, opposite Esparron de Verdon. Someone must have had the idea one day to drive up the canal by car, but it has now been immobilized for years. Some rocks must have come off and crushed it a little.
I couldn't identify the model of the car because it's so destroyed.
