An unoccupied black chair, with the iconic image found on the POW/MIA flag designed by Newton Foust "Newt" Heisley, is enclosed within a square formed by four granite pillars joined by chains is dedicated to the memory of POW_MIA service members. A plaque on the front of the monument is inscribed:

YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN

service members are unaccounted for.
