Aguila is a town bypassed by time. Once the junction for a number of productive mines and the railroad, then a tourist stop on the highway to Los Angeles, it is now home to a cantaloupe farm. With a population of 798, covering just over a square mile, the entire town could here this bell when it rings out. The tower sits, with a gabled roof, atop the front of the church. There is just one bell and the wheel that swings the bell can be seen but there isn't any sign of a rope or chain.
