This vintage gas station, currently operated under the GALP brand as a "Tangerina" convenience store, is located in Mafra, Portugal and dates back to the 1950s
While no exact construction date is visible, its traditional design elements—such as the gabled tiled roof, stone and stucco wall accents, and small-scale footprint— shows it was built in 1950s.
This can be confirmed in the Municipal Archive webpage
Though the station is still in active use as a fuel and convenience stop, some vintage elements remain. The overhanging roof and separate service building are intact, and the building itself retains the typical layout of older gas stations. The current signage, while modern, sits where an original gas station sign would have been placed. The fuel island still marks the original pump zone, though it has been updated with current branding and technology.
Current Use: The site operates under GALP, a major Portuguese energy company, and houses a Tangerina convenience store.
No historical marker, plaque, or original gas pump is visible on-site. The structure, however, clearly identifies its heritage as a gas station due to its preserved architecture and layout.
