In Walpole, along Main Street, is the former Walpole Town Hall, with a weather vane that is an intersection station listed in the NGS database as MY3603.

The building is on the eastern corner of the intersection of Main Street and Stone Road.

The building is a red brick structure, with a tower that extends above the front. The tower is square and has a clock on it, then an open belfry, then a four-sided short spire, topped by a weather vane.

The NGS has a description on the datasheet for this survey point:

"DESCRIBED BY MASSACHUSETTS GEODETIC SURVEY 1937
MY3603'AN OCCUPIED SECOND-ORDER STATION MARKED BY CENTER OF WEATHER VANE ON SLATE-COVERED SPIRE ABOVE TOWER HOUSE WHICH IS 8 FEET SQUARE AND 5.4 FEET HIGH, WITH OPENING AND A WOOD FLOOR COVERED WITH TIN."

Since 1937, the town hall has been moved to a former school building a couple blocks east of this location. The building was used as the Walpole Police Station until very recently.
