The most impressive part of this museum is a lavatory of 35 yards in length, whose lavishly decorated interior could be drained by means of a sewer. The sewer's height of 2.5 yards forms a passage spacious enough to walk through. For anyone interested in the hygienic standards and the remarkable achievements of the engineering and craftsmanship of the Roman Era, a visit to the Sumelocenna Museum can be a rewarding experience.
Outside the museum there is a lapidarium with several stone objects of Roman origin recovered from digs around the city.
Exhibits are exclusively in German. There is a free pamphlet in English that is worth picking up. A visit is worthwhile if only to look at the objects.
