The Water Union of SERTAD, Union for the Study and the Realization of the Works of Improvement of the Drinking Water Service of the South Deux-Sèvres, is managed at intercommunal level.
It was created by prefectural decree in May 1995, its initial purpose was the production of drinking water and its distribution to the facilities of member communities and subscribers.
It is a mixed union à la carte.
In 2004, the "Raw Water Quality" service was created. In 2006, SERTAD created a service "distribution of drinking water" to the subscriber's facilities; in 2007, a laboratory to carry out self-monitoring for member communities and in 2009 a "maintenance" service, also available to member communities.

Le Syndicat des Eaux du SERTAD, Syndicat pour l’Etude et la Réalisation des Travaux d’Amélioration de la Desserte en eau potable du sud Deux-Sèvres, est géré au niveau intercommunal.
Il a été créé par arrêté préfectoral en mai 1995, il avait pour vocation initiale la production d’eau potable et sa distribution jusqu’aux installations des collectivités adhérentes et des abonnés.
C'est un syndicat mixte à la carte.
En 2004, a été créé le service « Qualité Eau Brute ». En 2006, le SERTAD a créé un service « distribution de l’eau potable » jusqu’aux installations de l’abonné ; en 2007, un laboratoire permettant de réaliser l’autocontrôle pour les collectivités adhérentes et en 2009 un service « maintenance », aussi à la disposition des collectivités adhérentes.
