The front part of the Firehouse, that faces the dirt access road through the Tolmie Recreation Reserve, is a tall and square-based khaki-coloured colorbond shed, with two wheat-coloured roller doors onto a concrete apron. The roof has two 'whirly-bird' air vents. While the rear annexe is quite a bit lower in height, also with a low-pitched colorbond roof. There is plenty of parking 'on the grass' for the volunteers to leave their vehicles when called out.
This is a relatively new building for the Country Fire Authority (CFA), being Opened on 20 May, 2007, by the Minister for Police and Emergency Services.
