From an information panel on site:
Lynx Armoured Car
Canadians used the Lynx armoured car for reconnaissance duties in Italy and Northwest Europe.
The Lynx was the Canadian version of the British Dingo scout car, a short range scouting vehicle. Lightly armed and armoured, it relied on its low profile and speed to avoid combat with the enemy. The Ford Motor Company of Canada built more than 3200 Lynx armoured cars in Windsor, Ontario, with armoured bodies provided by International Harvester Company. Canadian soldiers used this example in Italy.
