A ground breaking ceremony was held on April 18, 1970 in Fargo for the ABC Lark Theatre. According to the Fargo Forum the Lark Theater opened in 1970 and showed movies until 1983.
The Lark was an unusual building in that it was built on stilts. Movie goers were able to park in the parking lot under the building, which was nice when it was raining or snowing.
For a time the building housed an indoor driving range. After sitting empty for several years the building was reopened as a theater, The Cinema Grill, in 1997. This theater closed in 2001.
The building housed LIving Waters church for a few years and was torn down in 2008. The site now houses Cityscapes Plaza, a five story complex with retail shops on the ground floor and apartments on the floors above.
